Episode 2
She does not go down. She types and deletes four answers. Two years ago Nico left for the city and said he would call. He called once. She did not pick up, because she was angry, and then too proud, and then it was too late.
Episode 3
Her best friend, the cook, takes the phone out of her hand and reads the message out loud to the whole kitchen. The kitchen votes. Ondrine loses six to one and walks down the stairs with her apron still on.
Episode 4
Nico is thinner, tired and holding the same cheap sunglasses he forgot on the bar two years ago. He came back for his father’s boat, he says. That is half the truth. They both hear the other half.
